Health News/Lumbini Province Health Minister Raju Khanal said that the work of renewing the registration of private hospitals in the province will start soon.
Inaugurating free treatment services for Indian soldiers and ex-servicemen and their families at Edmond City Hospital in Butwal under the Government of India’s Bhupu Sainik Contribution Health Service Scheme, Health Minister Khanal said that the renovation work will start now, saying that the health-related law is in the process of being made into regulations.
Minister Khanal said that before renovation, the relevant hospital will be monitored and if it does not meet the standards, it will not be renovated. On another occasion, Health Minister Khanal said that there has been a problem of increasing number of patients in government hospitals but lack of health workers in some of the advertisements opened by the ministry as no one has filled the form.
In order to solve the problem of non-availability of health workers, he emphasized that the federal government should facilitate health education. Health Minister Khanal thanked the Indian government for the work done for the health of Indian soldiers and their families.
The service was inaugurated after an agreement was signed between the Indian Embassy in Nepal and Edmond City Hospital in Butwal for free treatment services for Indian soldiers and former Indian soldiers and their families.
